hey everybody!

i’m experimenting with additions the format– we will see what sticks. have a lovely week <3

pesto:

i’m so good

at getting attached

even to piss colored sweatshirts

that were supposed to be white

to books that haven’t arrived yet

get returned to sender

to the squirrel we found

in the amory parking lot

who sucked his thumb like a baby

i wished he was a baby or a kitten

or something i could hold and keep

forever but squirrels are wild animals

apparently so i passed him

off to jane at the wildlife

rehab center all the

way in chelmsford and

as i drove off without him

i realized i forgot

to tell her his name

his name was pesto

spring time:

new england spring is such a tease

all we get is a few good days

and then it’s full blown summer

better weather for the protesters

at planned parenthood

old men and old women

fingering their rosaries

driven to their knees

praying for babies and women

and sex before marriage

it’s horny really

old people are so horny

look at the sti rates in

old persons homes and

prolifers are everywhere

our neighbors are prolifers

they asked us if that

was going to be a problem

yes it is because

how are you a male prolifer

in this day and age?

that’s honestly just nosy

article//poem of the week:

breaking off my chemical romance by p.e. moskowitz

the portrait by stanley kunitz

songs of the week:

mourning dove by jon mckiel

loving you is lonely by harmony byrne

easy recipe of the week: (thanks elsa for the idea <3)

  • pick your base- it should be crunchy (think cabbage, kale etc.), i used a mix from trader joe’s with kale, cabbage, and brussels sprouts

  • add some veg- whatever you have on hand, i added peppers, cucumbers, carrot, red onion, all chopped finely

  • add a protein- i used chicken that i marinated in garlic, chili, and a little soy sauce, tofu would work well too

  • make the dressing- mix 1/4 cup of peanut butter, 2 garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 3 tablespoons sesame oil, 2 tablespoons lime juice, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, red pepper flakes, cilantro, ginger

  • you could definitely add noodles or serve with dumplings or something

  • enjoy!!!
